Eduard Clasen

Eduard Clasen (born April 17, 1901 in Oldenswort ; † June 20, 1985 ) was a German SPD politician .

Life and work

After attending primary school, Clasen completed an apprenticeship as a gardener. In 1925 he attended the folk high school in Tinz ( Thuringia ). In 1927/28 he studied at the Academy of Labor in Frankfurt am Main . He then worked at the country health insurance fund in Garding . From 1930 to 1933 he was a journalist for various socialist newspapers. In 1933 he became unemployed and in the meantime hired himself out as a civil engineering worker. From 1937 to 1942 Clasen was the secretary of a secondary school and then a clerk in the welfare office of the city of Flensburg .

Political party

Clasen had been a member of the SPD since 1923.

Clasen was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament from 1947 to 1950 .
