Life

Fromiller, who worked for the nobility and clergy from around 1733 and referred to himself as “Mahler's Landscape Histories”, was particularly famous for his main work, his frescoes from around 1740 in the Great Hall of Arms in the Klagenfurt country house . Here is the homage to Emperor Charles VI as a ceiling painting . to see on the north wall the ceremony of the installation of the Duke of Carinthia and on the south wall the handover of the Gabbrief (deed of gift) of the city of Klagenfurt.

Other well-known, monumental frescoes in Carinthia also come from Fromiller, for example in the Ossiach Abbey and in the Klagenfurt Castle Chapel. Numerous altarpieces , portraits , history paintings , still lifes and copper engravings are also part of his work.

Fromiller acquired a house on Benediktinerplatz in Klagenfurt (today No. 8), where he also died. A memorial plaque is attached to the facade. A street in Klagenfurt is named after him.
