Nothing is known about Eduard Grawert's education. It is possible that he first worked as a music teacher. From 1830 to 1856 he often took part as a painter in the exhibitions of the Prussian Academy of the Arts in Berlin. His motifs included hunting pictures, genre pieces and portraits.
