The Chausseehaus Sylbitz is a listed Chausseehaus in the Beidersee district of the Petersberg municipality in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 97859 .

history

The elongated Chausseehaus was built in 1797 by the Kingdom of Prussia . At that time the Magdeburger Chaussee ran along the Chausseehaus from Magdeburg via Halle to Leipzig . As a customs building, it was supposed to refinance the costs of road construction and road maintenance by taking tolls, in which the onward journey on the road was only possible after the toll was paid. According to a statistical report from 1871, 14 people lived in the building, an above-average number.

Today the building is only used as a residential building.

location

The Chausseehaus is located north of Beidersee on the former route of Bundesstraße 6 . Approx. One of the few remaining milestones is located 100 m north of the building in the moat . Today the Chausseehaus is spatially closer to the town of Beidersee than to the town of Sylbitz , which gives the Chausseehaus its name, reinforced by the Halle-Trotha motorway exit on the A 14 between the Chausseehaus and Sylbitz.
