Eduard Guth

Johann Daniel Eduard Guth (born October 12, 1810 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † May 7, 1865 ibid) was a German author.

Life

Eduard Guth studied from Easter 1834 first Protestant theology , then philology at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In the sheets of memory (Schmiedeberg) a student portrait watercolor of him has been preserved. He was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD .

He was a principal collaborator of 1841-1845 by Alexander Jung published Konigsberg literary journal and published there reviews. In a book he dealt with the synodal question of the Evangelical Church in Prussia , which as a state church had to deal with secularism and in 1845 became the Evangelical regional church . Alexander Jung counted Guth to "the great hermits in which perhaps the most interesting mysteries of Konigsberg rest" . Guth died in the Löbenichtschen Hospital in Königsberg when he was 55 years old .
