Eduard Andrés Gutiérrez Castillo (born August 9, 1995 in Agrado , Departamento del Huila , † May 7, 2017 in Garzón , Departamento de Huila) was a Colombian football player .
Athletic career
Eduard Gutiérrez played in the youth and reserve team of Millonarios FC , where he played alongside the future professionals Harold Santiago Mosquera and Gabriel Díaz Rico . Early 2015, he moved to Atlético Huila in the Categoría Primera A . Initially also here mainly in the youth field or in the reserve team, he made his debut in the championship in October of that year when he played in the 1-1 draw against La Equidad . In the following years he was used irregularly by the changing coaches of his club. He played eleven championship games, a goal he was denied.
At the beginning of May 2017 Gutiérrez and his partner's car came off the road on the way to Neiva and hit a tree. The 21-year-old defender succumbed to his injuries.
