Eduard Orth (District Administrator)
Eduard Orth (* 1830 in Windhausen ; † 1895 in Braunschweig ) was a German administrative officer.
Orth grew up in Lengefeld ( Principality of Waldeck ) and attended the Korbach State School. He then studied law at the Universities of Göttingen and Erlangen . From 1863 he was employed as a trainee lawyer at the Helmstedt district office, where he was assessor from 1864 to 1871. From 1886 until his death in 1895 he was district director in the Braunschweig district .
Orth was also politically active in the NLP . In the replacement election on March 16, 1869, he ran in the Reichstag constituency of Waldeck-Pyrmont , but was defeated by his party friend Wilhelm Wehrenpfennig with 1543 to 2069 votes. He also ran for the Reichstag election in 1871 in the same constituency, but was unable to prevail against Johannes Miquel (1077 to 4001 votes).
