Eduard Pochmann
Eduard Pochmann (born November 17, 1839 in Dresden ; † beginning of 1904 ) was a German theater actor and director .
Life
He entered the stage for the first time on May 16, 1862, together with his brother Ferdinand . After Pochmann had worked on several stages, including from 1877 to 1880 at the Stadttheater in Augsburg and from 1880 to 1884 in Graz , he came to the Hamburg Stadttheater , where the artist had been active as an actor and director since that time. In particular, his long-standing, extremely well-proven effectiveness as a director deserves special mention. He was no longer acting as an actor. In the past, it was bon vivants and heroes, then hero fathers and character roles that earned him recognition (“Egmont”, “Essex”, “Bollingbroke”, “Verrina” etc.).
