Eduard Schenk

Eduard Schenk (born May 6, 1821 in Cologne ; † February 9, 1900 there ) was a German lawyer and member of the Reichstag (German Empire) .

Life

He attended the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Cologne, where he graduated from high school in 1839. Schenk studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1842 he became a member of the Corps Palatia Bonn . As a lawyer in Cologne, he gave the Archdiocese of Cologne a building plot for the Sacred Heart Church in 1887 .

From 1873 to 1876 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , where he represented the constituency of Düsseldorf District 11 (Gladbach), and from 1877 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Cologne District 1 (Cologne) and the German Center Party .
