Eduard Trippel

Eduard Trippel (born March 26, 1997 ) is a German judoka .

Athletic career

Eduard Trippel was third in the 2014 U18 European Championships in the weight class up to 81 kilograms. In 2015 he rose to the middleweight division, the weight class up to 90 kilograms. In 2017 he was the first German champion in this weight class. In the same year he won bronze at the Junior World Championships in Zagreb. In 2018 he won the German championships again. At the Grand Slam tournament in Paris , he reached third place. At the 2018 World Championships in Baku, he defeated the Dutch Noël van 't End in the round of 16 and defeated the Hungarian Krisztián Tóth in the quarter-finals . After winning the hope round against the Cuban Asley González, he lost to the French Axel Clerget in the battle for bronze . In 2019, Trippel won the German championships for the third time. At the European Championships held in Minsk as part of the 2019 European Games , he was eliminated in the round of 16 against the Slovaks Milan Randl .
