Eduardo Andreozzi

Eduardo Andreozzi (* 1892 , † 1979 ) was a Brazilian jazz musician with Italian roots.

Life

Eduardo Andreozzi played the violin and saxophone . From 1917 to 1919 he studied in Rio de Janeiro with Professor Bastiani and later, as director of various orchestras, was one of the pioneers of Latin jazz . From 1919 to 1921 he directed an orchestra in the Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro. Between 1919 and 1924 Odeon produced recordings of Andreozzi in Rio. He appeared in Europe from around the mid-1920s; first in Milan , later in Germany. Recordings from Grammophon in Berlin originate from this phase ; later some of these recordings were also pressed at Derby . He worked with Gregor Keleklian , trumpeter Mickey Diamond and Sydney Sterling , among others . His last engagement in Europe was in 1934 at the Efreuna in Chemnitz . After the Second World War , Andreozzi apparently stopped being talked about.
