Eduardo Rubio Kostner (born November 7, 1983 in Chuquicamata , Chile ) is a former Chilean football player.

The striker played for Universidad Católica from 2002 to 2006 and for Cruz Azul from January to June 2007 . From June 2007 he plays with Colo Colo . For the 2008/2009 season, however, he was loaned to FC Basel . In the 2009/2010 season he played for Unión Española . He then moved to La Serena and will play for CD La Serena there. He stayed there for two seasons until he had to relegate his team at the end of the 2012 season. He was then without a club for a year before joining Lota Schwager in the Chilean second division in early 2014 . There he finished his career after one season.

Personal

His father, Hugo Rubio , was also a professional footballer and played 36 times for the Chilean national team between 1983 and 1991. In the late 1980s he played with Iván Zamorano and Patricio Mardones at FC St. Gallen .
