Eduardo de Jesus Barreto , also known under the name Eduardo de Deus Barreto (born August 14, 1951 in Ermera , Portuguese Timor ), battle name Dusae , is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) party.

Barreto finished secondary school without a qualification in the fifth school year 1974/75.

From 2003 to 2004 he was regional commissioner of the Reception, Truth and Reconciliation Commission of East Timor (CAVR).

Since 2007, Barreto has been a member of the East Timorese national parliament . On May 5, 2016, Barreto was elected Deputy Speaker of Parliament and remained so until the beginning of the new legislative period in 2017. In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 , Barreto ran for the CNRT in 17th place and thus moved back into the national parliament . He became a member of the Commission on Health, Education, Culture, Veterans and Gender Equality (Commission F). In the parliamentary elections in 2018 Barreto did not run.

Barreto has been a member of the State Council since 2018 .
