Edward Owen (born November 6, 1886 in Manchester , † September 24, 1949 in Bexleyheath, London Borough of Bexley ) was a British long-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he won silver in the five-mile run.

In 1912 he retired at the Olympic Games in Stockholm over 1500 m in the run. In the 3,000-meter team race, he finished twelfth and won the bronze medal with the team of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland .

In 1909 and 1912 he was British champion in the mile run .
