Edwin Gebauer

Edwin Gebauer (born June 16, 1884 in Wyhra ; † unknown) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school (1890–98), Gebauer worked from 1898 to 1903 in the blacksmith's shop and in his parents' poultry farm. He then earned his living as a poultry breeder (1903-08) and master cook (1908-14). From 1914 Gebauer took part in the First World War: he fought with the foot artillery regiment No. 12 in Metz , then from 1915 to 1916 on the Eastern Front and from 1917 to 1918 on the Western Front .

After his return from the war, in which he was awarded the Iron Cross II. Class and the Friedrich August Medal , Gebauer worked as a soap boiler (1919-29). In January 1930 he became unemployed.

Gebauer had been politically active since 1924. At a time that is not exactly known, he joined the NSDAP; since 1926 he was a leader in the Sturmabteilung (SA). In the latter he was promoted to Sturmbannführer in 1931 and to Standartenführer in the SA group Berlin-Brandenburg in November 1937 .

From July to November 1932 Gebauer sat as a member of the NSDAP in the Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 3 (Potsdam II).

In the Berlin address book from 1933 he is listed with the address Zossener Straße 35. In 1936 he operates as a caretaker at Dreibundstrasse 5 and in 1943 as a caretaker at Immelmannstrasse 10.
