Edwin M. Owner

Edwin Moss Eigner (born April 3, 1931 in Boston ) is an American literary scholar .

He studied at Cornell University ( BA 1953) and at the University of Iowa ( MFA 1955, Ph.D. 1963). He taught at Northwestern University (1960–1963), the University of Kansas (1963–1966) and, from 1970, at the University of California, Riverside , to which he is still associated as emeritus . His main research interests are 19th century English and American literature .
