Eef Arnolds (full name: Everhardus Johannes Maria Arnolds; * 1948 in Doorn , Netherlands) is a Dutch mycologist . His botanical-mycological author's abbreviation is " Arnolds ".

Live and act

Eef Arnolds studied biology at Utrecht University and became a research assistant at Wageningen University . In 1981 he received his doctorate with the dissertation Ecology and coenology of macrofungi in grasslands and moist heathlands in Drenthe, the Netherlands . From 1990 to 1998 he was director of the Wijster Biological Station . After retiring in 1998, he worked on various research projects related to mushrooms.

In addition, he is intensively involved in the maintenance and development of new, small nature reserves in the vicinity of his house. Publications on this topic appeared in magazines such as De Levende Natuur , Oasis and Het Vogeljaar . From 2000 to 2008 he was a nature columnist for the magazine Jonas , later Zens . He wrote the book Way of Nature , a guide to the experience of nature and the balance of nature. Since 1965 he has been entrusted with various posts as an active member of the Nederlandse Mycologische Vereniging (NMV) . He also chaired the European Council for Conservation of Fungi (ECCF) . He has appeared regularly as a guest speaker at several international conferences and mycological and botanical congresses.
