from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eeriboia ( ancient Greek Ἠερίβοια ) is a figure in Greek mythology .

Eeriboia was the granddaughter of Hermes and daughter of Eurymachos . She became the second wife of Aloeus and thus the stepmother of the two giant aloids Otos and Ephialtes. When Aphrodite , wounded by Diomedes , fled into the lap of her mother Dione , she told her that mortals had often mistreated gods, such as the aloids, who locked Ares in a dungeon for 13 months until Eeriboia told Ares the Hermes betrayed, who then freed the already completely weakened god of war.
