Eero-Matti Aho (born January 26, 1968 in Oulu ) is a Finnish actor .

Life

Eero-Matti Aho grew up as the son of a train driver and a railway worker in Pukinmäki . He has two older siblings. Already in his youth he played theater. He graduated from high school in 1986 and graduated from the Helsinki Theater Academy in 1991 with an acting degree . From 1991 to 2005 he was a permanent member of the KOM-teatteri ensemble. Since then he has been active as a freelance theater actor at various theaters, including the Turun kaupunginteatteri , Helsingin kaupunginteatteri and the Finnish National Theater .

Aho had his first role in a feature film during his studies in the 1989 television film 1249 km . He made his screen debut in 1993 in a small supporting role as Johansson in the action thriller Harjunpää ja kiusantekijät directed by Åke Lindman . Since then he has starred in almost 50 film and television projects. Three times he has been with the Finnish film award Jussi as best actor nominated for his depictions of which he in 8-pallo and Unknown Soldier - Fight for Country was excellent in each case.

Aho was married to actress Tiina Lymi from 1994 to 2006 . They have two daughters together, including actress Ella Aho . From 2008 to 2013 he was in a relationship with the musician Vuokko Hovatta . He has been in a relationship with television journalist Teresa Meriläinen since 2013. The couple have had a daughter since 2016 and have been married since 2017.
