Efraim Reuytenberg

Efraim Reuytenberg (* 1914 in Harbin , China , † October 15, 2005 in Jerusalem ), also known as Fima , was an Israeli painter .

Life

Efraim Reuytenberg studied painting, architecture, theater and ballet in Shanghai. In 1949 he emigrated from China to Israel. Since then he has lived in Jerusalem, where he died on October 15, 2005 at the age of 91. In the meantime he lived and worked in Paris for four years.

Reuytenberg taught at the Shanghai Art Academy.

His work can be seen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Baltimore Museum of Art , the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
