Egelolf (Eichstatt)
Egelolf († 1189 ) was Prince-Bishop of Eichstätt from 1171 to 1182.
The origin of Egelolf is unknown. He was not previously named in any office in Eichstätter, so Franz Heidingsfelder suspects an appointment by Friedrich Barbarossa , in whose wake he was briefly mentioned as bishop. Egelolf did not receive episcopal ordination. He resigned on October 1, 1182 due to the consequences of a stroke .
