The nature reserve Egge-Nord (PB) is located in the municipality of Altenbeken in the Paderborn district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area, which consists of four partial areas, extends southwest, west, north and northeast of the core town of Altenbeken. The state road L 828 and south the B 64 run through the area in a north-south direction .

meaning

The approximately 1606 hectare area was placed under nature protection in 1996 . The ordinance covered a total of 2622 hectares in the Paderborn, Lippe and Höxter districts, which are now managed as a separate nature reserve. The protection by ordinance expired after 20 years, until the final designation by a landscape plan, the area is listed under the temporary key number PB-047K1.
