The marriage and family code of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic ( lit.Lietuvos Tarybų Socialistinės Respublikos santuokos ir šeimos kodeksas ) is the family code passed by the Lithuanian SSR on July 16, 1969 . It was a comprehensive family law codification and the main legal source of Soviet Lithuanian family law. The Marriage and Family Code is divided into 6 sections and 25 subsections. It comprises a total of 217 articles.

The Soviet Lithuanian Marriage and Family Code was prepared according to the model code of Soviet family law and adopted by the Supreme Council of Soviet Lithuania. It came into force on January 1, 1970 and, in addition to the accepted Soviet-Lithuanian civil code, was still valid for several years after the independence of Lithuania, as Soviet-Lithuanian law was accepted. The Soviet Lithuanian Marriage and Family Code was superseded by the new Lithuanian Civil Code of 2000 and expired on July 1, 2001 .
