The former HEAG director's villa is a building in Darmstadt .

Architecture and history

In 1897 the tram route between the city center and the Böllenfalltor was opened. Around 1897, wagon halls were built at the final stop at Böllenfalltor .

In 1899, a representative Wilhelminian style villa was built on the site - as a residential building for the director of the city tram - according to plans by the city ​​architect Stephan Braden .

The building has a tower with a slate roof, half-timbered decorations and a coat of arms in the east gable .

In 1912 HEAG took over the tram depot and the Wilhelminian style villa.

Monument protection

The villa is a typical example of the Wilhelminian style in Darmstadt. For architectural and city history reasons, the building is a cultural monument .
