Alf Ekberg (born September 24, 1928 in Ufhoven ) is a German pop singer who was under contract with Polydor and Philips from the late 1950s to the early 1960s .

life and career

Ekberg was born the son of a civil servant. After graduating from school, he went to the merchant marine for three years , where he taught himself to play the guitar and banjo .

From 1946 to 1955 he played and sang in smaller bands and orchestras, and from 1951 to 1955 he studied singing and music ( violin and viola ).

In 1956 he went to West Germany, toured as a singer and received his first record deal in 1957. During his career, Ekberg had musical collaborations with Johnny Dane, Heinz Lips, Die Sieben Raben (comedy quartet, also comedians), Charles Nowa, the Trocadero dance orchestra, Adalbert Luczkowski and his orchestra, as well as Kurt Edelhagen and his orchestra.

After 1960 there is no further evidence of a singing career.
