Ehrhard Kirchner

Ehrhard Kirchner (born August 17, 1866 in Neustadt ad Heide ; † July 2, 1927 there ) was a politician ( SPD ) and president of the state assembly of the Free State of Coburg .

Kirchner was the son of a metal handle. After graduating from elementary school , he did an apprenticeship as a moulder and needle maker. From 1904 to 1927 he was employed as a cashier and since 1917 managing director of the AOK Neustadt.

He was a co-founder and leading functionary of the SPD in Neustadt ad Heide (near Coburg). In 1912 he was one of the founders of the Coburger Volksblatt . [1912] He was also a member of the board of the New Consumer Association in Coburg.

From 1898 to 1927 he was a city councilor in Neustadt. He was the first social democratic city councilor in Neustadt. During the November Revolution in November 1918 he was a member of the State Labor Council for Saxony-Coburg . In the state elections on February 9, 1919, he was elected to the state assembly of the Free State of Coburg and chaired the state parliament as president.
