Klaus von Andrian-Werburg

Klaus von Andrian-Werburg (born January 19, 1930 in Dresden ; † October 17, 2004 in Mainz ) was a German archivist and diplomat .

His dissertation was devoted to the office and government system of the dukes of Bavaria-Munich at the end of the 14th century. Much of his work served to index the holdings of smaller private and aristocratic archives as part of the inventory program of the General Directorate of Archives Bavaria . After working at the Bamberg State Archives and the Coburg State Archives , he was most recently Director of the Nuremberg State Archives as Chief Archives Director .

He was married to Irmtraud von Andrian-Werburg , who worked at the archive of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum .
