Christoph Buchner (born July 23, 1989 in Trostberg ) is a German football player . In addition to his football career, Buchner completed an apprenticeship as a banker .
Career
Buchner played in the youth departments of TuS Garching and Wacker Burghausen until he was promoted to the Wackers professional squad in 2008. In the 2008/09 season he completed 20 games (one goal) in the 3rd division .
In the summer of 2009 he moved to the second division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern , who signed him for three years. In the 2009/10 season he was not used in the professional team, but played for the second team in the Regionalliga West . Due to a broken foot, he only played 18 games in which he scored two goals.
In the summer of 2010, Buchner moved to the third division 1. FC Saarbrücken , where he signed a one-year contract.
After his contract expired, he moved to Austria for the second division FC Lustenau for a year before signing a contract with the third division Chemnitzer FC in July 2012 . It only lasted there for a year. For the 2013/14 season he moved to the fourth division Eintracht Trier . With Trier he won the Rhineland Cup and took part in the DFB Cup twice.
For the 2016/17 season Buchner moved within the Regionalliga Südwest to TuS Koblenz and signed a contract for one season. After a season in Koblenz, Buchner signed a contract valid until June 30, 2019 with his former youth club Wacker Burghausen in the Regionalliga Bayern .
