Eibinger reliquary treasure
The Eibinger Reliqui Treasure is a collection of relics that Hildegard von Bingen was given during her lifetime or collected herself. They used to be in Rupertsberg Monastery and were saved from destruction by the abbess Anna Lerch von Dirmstein during the Thirty Years' War .
Today they are in the former parish church of St. Hildegard and St. John the Baptist in Eibingen , Hesse , Germany . The collection is exhibited in the nave, in a glass showcase designed by the artist Thomas Hillenbrand from Ilshofen in 2012. The bones of St. Hildegard v. Bingen, which are also in this church, are, however, kept in a golden shrine in a predestined place in the chancel.
