The Eichelberg is a mountain on the border between Eisenach and the Wartburg district in Thuringia . It is located in the Eisenach district of Madelungen .
The Eichelberg has a summit height of 334.9 m above sea level. NN and is part of the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park .
On the almost completely wooded mountain, which is now used for forestry, quarries have been built for around 1000 years and high-quality yellow-toned sandstone has been broken for numerous buildings in Eisenach .
