The Eichelsbach rises in Nackenheim near the corridor "Am Teufelsloch". It flows through, partly canalized or underground, Nackenheim in a north-easterly direction of flow. To the north of Nackenheim, it joins the Mühlgraben or Gau-Bischofsheimer Bach and flows into the Bodenheimer Bach just before it flows into the Rhine. The course of the river between the confluence with the Mühlgraben and the confluence with the Bodenheimer Bach is called "Mühlgraben" (GeoPortal.rlp, GoogleMaps) or "Eichelsbach" (LANIS) depending on the map.
