The Eifelmuseum Blankenheim is located in Blankenheim (Ahr) in the district of Euskirchen , North Rhine-Westphalia , Ahrstrasse.

The museum consists of two houses and represents the landscape, the natural space and the people of the Eifel region .

In the main building, the prehistory and early history, the subject of nature and everyday farming around 1900 are dealt with. This includes the processing of grain and milk, the keeping of stocks, the food from the forest and the work of a carpenter .

In the second house, the Gildehaus, the textile production from flax , the spinning and weaving as well as the blueprint are shown. A tailor's shop and a shoemaker's shop round off the topic of “Working World in earlier times”. There is also a dining room with a grocery store, a photo studio and a post office . Living rooms such as the kitchen, "living room" and bedroom show life in the olden days.

Others

There is also an Eifelmuseum in Mayen ("Eifelmuseum mit Deutschem Schieferbergwerk Mayen"). The two museums are 60 km apart.
