Ownership is a settlement belonging to the Hanseatic city of Gardelegen in Saxony-Anhalt , in which 18 inhabitants live.

The settlement is located northeast of the Jeggau district on the country road to Breitenfeld at the intersection of a field path leading from Quarnebeck into the Hellberge forest area . The district of Breitenfeld begins immediately northeast of the locality of Eigenhum. The Tarnefitzer Elbe flows east of the settlement .

history

As a field name for the area of ​​today's settlement, the designation "property" can already be found on a map drawn up in 1779 and newly drawn up in 1794. On both sides of the boundary between Jeggau and Breitenfeld, the as yet undeveloped corridor is given this name. In the separation recess of May 18, 1835, in the course of the separation carried out in Breitenfeld, the property colony was already listed as a border neighbor . Later property is listed as belonging to Breitenfeld. In 1865, Brohmanns Lust is listed as a residential space for Breitenfeld , although it is assumed that this was another name for property. However, in an official publication from 1868, ownership under Jeggau and at the same time Brohmann's lust under Breitenfelde is stated. In 1871 the Colonie property , consisting of a residential house and six residents, was then managed as property owned by Breitenfeld in 1875 . In 1895, however, the settlement was then designated as belonging to the Jeggau parish.
