The Tarnefitzer Elbe is a brook in Saxony-Anhalt .

It rises north of the village of Breitenfeld (Gardelegen) at the foot of the Hellberge and then runs east of the localities Eigenhum and Jeggau to the south in the direction of Drömling . In the further course it passes Tarnefitz and finally flows as Sichauer Beeke in the Ohre north near Calvörde . Like the other canals in the Drömling, it was created by clearing the Drömling, triggered by Frederick the Great (King in Prussia).

However , it does not do justice to its name, which is based on the Elbe , in terms of the amount of water it carries. The Tarnefitz Elbe only has a significant water flow in times of heavy snowmelt .
