Eija-Riitta Wallis Winther Arja Nikki Lee Eklöf (born March 20, 1954 in Sweden ; † October 31, 2015 in Liden ( Sundsvall )) - she called herself Eija-Riitta Eklöf-Berliner-Mauer - was a Swedish model maker who claimed of being married to the Berlin Wall . She invented the term objectum sexuality , which describes people's love for objects. Eklöf is considered to be the first object sexual of the modern age. The film Berlinmuren at the 5th Berlin Biennale in 2008 brought Eklöf's story to international attention.

Eklöf, who comes from Liden near Sundsvall in northern Sweden , married the Berlin Wall after her introduction on June 17, 1979 . Always fascinated by the dividing wall between West and East Berlin , Eklöf hired an “ animist ” who pretended to communicate with the wall and to say yes to it. Since this "marriage", Eklöf had the alias name Eklöf-Berliner-Mauer (in English or Swedish also Eklöf-Berlin Wall or Eklöf-Berlinmuren ).

Since then, the Eklöf Berlin Wall has documented its history several times on various websites. She commented on her decision to celebrate marriage with one thing : “You have to be stubborn and you mustn't take a no for a no.” In addition, the Berlin Wall is “the best and sexiest wall ever existed”. After the "marriage" in Berlin , the Eklöf Berlin Wall moved back to Liden. Since November 9, 1989, Eklöf-Berliner-Mauer saw herself as a widow, as the Berlin Wall was destroyed on that day.

The Norwegian artist Lars Laumann dedicated the film Berlinmuren to her , which was shown as part of the 5th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art in a specially built pavilion.

The extremely rare sexual orientation of objectophilia that she postulates is directed towards inanimate objects such as machines, cars or buildings, but differs from fetishism in that the object not only serves as a stimulus, but is perceived and perceived as an independent, quasi-personal counterpart is felt to be attractive.
