Pia Beck from Germany and New Zealander John Harrison Cooper met six months ago on their return trip at Amsterdam Airport. Half a year later they agreed to meet at the Rock of Gibraltar. Pia was four hours late in the flight and is finally too late at the agreed meeting point and there is no trace of John either. The taxi driver Flora Martinez, who drove her to the meeting point, searches with her using a photo. Pia is disappointed with what she's trying to hide from the outside world. Flora offers the young woman to take her to Cádiz for a wedding. At the wedding she meets the adventurer Diego, who shows her Andalusia and sleeps with her. During a walk together, however, she meets John and she has no explanation. Somehow she likes both men, the down-to-earth businessman John and the bon vivant Diego.
