Heiko Ruprecht

Heiko Ruprecht (* 1972 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German actor .

Life

Education and theater

Heiko Ruprecht grew up in Lindau on Lake Constance . From 1993 to 1996 he trained as an actor at the Salzburg Mozarteum .

In 1997 he got his first engagement at the Stadttheater Ulm , where he played the title role in Clavigo (season 1998/99), Duke Orsino in Was ihr wollt (season 1997/98), the student Trofimow in Der Kirschgarten (season 1998/99 ), the lawyer and husband Torvald Helmer played in Nora (1998/99 season), Goldberg in George Tabori's Goldberg Variations (1997/98 season) and Wilhelm in Robert Wilson's play Black Rider (1997/98 season).

At the beginning of the 1999/00 season, Ruprecht was engaged at the Münchner Kammerspiele . There he played the role of Guiderius in Dieter Dorn's production of William Shakespeare's late work Cymbeline . He also took on two roles in Theresia Walser's plays : in her play King Kong's Daughters he played the adventurer Rolfi. He also appeared in the world premiere of It's so wild in our woods in 2000 for a long time . With the 2001/02 season Ruprecht moved to the Bavarian State Theater , of which he was a permanent member of the ensemble until 2005. Here he appeared as Lorenzo in The Merchant of Venice (2005-2008, directed by Dieter Dorn) and as Karl in The Farmer as Millionaire under the direction of Franz Xaver Kroetz .

In 2005 he played the title role of Faust in Urfaust at the Heidelberg Castle Festival . At the Staatstheater Karlsruhe he appeared in the title role of the Shakespeare tragedy Richard III from 2006–2007 . . At the Luisenburg Festival in July / August 2007, he took on the role of the Duke of Buckingham in The Three Musketeers . In 2007 he also took on Duke Albrecht in Carl Orff's popular play Die Bernauerin , where he created the role entirely as a “virile daredevil”.

In 2008 he was a guest at the Schauspiel Essen as Aaron in Anatomy Titus Fall of Rome by Heiner Müller . In 2010 he appeared there in the stage version of the novel Transit by Anna Seghers in the role of the emigrant Seidler, who “sits in front of a piece of pizza and a glass of wine and begins to tell the story in retrospect”.

He has appeared several times at the Stadttheater Fürth , for example in the productions Maß für Maß (April / June 2013, as Lucio), Ein Volksfeind (January 2014) and Die kleine Füchse (January 2015). From March to May 2017 Ruprecht played together with Isabel Varell in the two-person play Die Nacht - oder nie! in the comedy in the Marquardt in Stuttgart . In July / August 2017 he performed this production at the Heilbronn Theater . In June / July 2019 he appeared in this production at the Komödie im Bayerischer Hof in Munich.

Movie and TV

Ruprecht made his first experiences in front of the camera in 1997 while working at the theater. In 1997, he was the murder victim Stefan in the series Sophie - Smarter than the police allowed . This was followed by smaller roles in the series Derrick (1997), later then larger episode leading roles in the series Forsthaus Falkenau (2005) and The Rosenheim Cops (2006).

Since 2008 Ruprecht has played a leading role in the series as Hans Gruber, the brother of the mountain doctor Dr. Martin Gruber, in the ZDF - TV series The Mountain Doctor .

ZDF also engaged Ruprecht for the role of class teacher Stefan Brenner in the television series Liebe, Babys und Familienglück (2010). Ruprecht has appeared in front of the camera several times for the ZDF "Herzkino" series. Ruprecht played the attractive horse whisperer Jake in the Katie Fforde film adaptation of Leap into Luck (first broadcast: March 2012). In the Katie Fforde film adaptation Back to the Sea (first broadcast April 2015) he played, alongside Jennifer Ulrich , the marine biologist and author Ryan Bishop. In the Rosamunde Pilcher film Guardian Angel (first broadcast: March 2016), with Suzan Anbeh as a partner, he played the male lead and title character, the police officer and “ Guardian Angel ” Dave. In the Katie Fforde film adaptation of My Son and His Fathers (first broadcast: October 2016), he took on the role of the new partner of a single New York bookseller ( Julia Malik ).

He also had episode roles in several SOKO formats on ZDF and ORF from 2017 to 2019 .

More work

Ruprecht also took part in a few short films and worked as a speaker for radio plays . In 2007 he worked in the radio play version of the crime novel Tannöd by Andrea Maria Schenkel . Ruprecht has been on tour with his solo program Die Geister I rief , in which he performs famous ballads by Schiller and Goethe , since October 2015 . In March 2017, the audio book A Month in the Country, read by Heiko Ruprecht, based on the novel by JL Carr, was published by Audio Verlag . For his reading, Heiko Ruprecht was nominated for the German Audio Book Prize in 2018 as "Best Speaker" .

Private

Heiko Ruprecht lives with his partner and two daughters in Munich .
