The stage show An Enigmatic Shimmer was premiered by Robert Nippoldt and the trio megalomania in 2015. The show is based on zeitgeist and events in Berlin in the 1920s and combines visual elements with musical and theatrical performances.

content

The analogue multimedia show “A Mysterious Shimmer” is told to the audience in individual sections from Berlin in the 1920s from different perspectives, just like in the Varieté. The draftsman Robert Nippoldt leads through the program as a mute conferencier from his drawing table with brush, scissors and ink. The drawing table is filmed live for the audience with a camera and projector and broadcast on a large screen. This happens in direct cooperation with the trio megalomania, consisting of Lotta Stein (vocals), Christian Manchen (piano) and Christoph Kopp (double bass). In addition to typical musical works and impressions from the time, chansons by Marlene Dietrich , Friedrich Hollaender , the Threepenny Opera and the Comedian Harmonists are closely linked to the visual events.
