The Thin is a river in France that runs in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region . It rises under the name Rau de la Plate Pierre in the municipality of Dommery . After about three kilometers it seeps underground at the Gouffre de Musse Cane and only reaches the surface again as a spring pot after another four kilometers in the local area of Thin-le-Moutier . It generally drains in a north-easterly direction, reaches the Ardennes Regional Nature Park and, after a total of around 22 kilometers, flows into the Sormonne as a right tributary on the outskirts of Haudrecy .
