The ticket, which was introduced on March 21, 2007, is valid Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 a.m. the following day and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from midnight to 3 a.m. the following day. It is valid for a minimum of two to a maximum of five people traveling together and allows small groups or families as many trips as they want on the local trains ( regional train , regional express , CityjetXpress, S-Bahn ) of ÖBB passenger transport and the Raaberbahn . The Einfach-Raus-Ticket is not recognized on long-distance trains, seasonal trains for excursions and on the trains of other railway companies with the exception of the Vienna-Baden local railway without bicycle transport.

The Einfach-Raus-Ticket is sold via ticket machines , the Internet, the call center and the station counters . As a special feature, it is also available from Deutsche Bahn AG ticket machines . The Einfach-Raus-Ticket can also be purchased at ticket machines from other transport companies in southern Germany, such as Meridian or Berchtesgadener Land Bahn. In return, the Bayern ticket , which is comparable to the Einfach-Raus -Ticket, is also sold at ÖBB ticket machines.

Based on the experience of Deutsche Bahn with the Nice Weekend Ticket and the regional tickets , ÖBB introduced the minimum number of participants and the indication of the number of passengers on the ticket at the beginning. This is intended to make the illegal resale of the ticket more difficult. In addition, a hurdle should be set up for those single travelers who may be willing to pay the significantly lower price of 34 euros compared to the normal price, but cannot find a passenger for the sometimes very long train journeys. In contrast to the German package tickets, passengers have to cover the entire journey together. Reducing or increasing the group size, as would be permitted in Germany, is prohibited in Austria.

Since the timetable change on December 9, 2018, the Einfach-Raus-Ticket is no longer valid in Vorarlberg .
