Impact maker

Impact maker is a historic craft. Impact makers fumigated the barrels intended for wine and must with sulfur , which was called impact. The wine was also directly exposed to the impact, as can be read in Grimm's German dictionary : “impact of the wine, medicamen vini, what is hung in the wine to give it color and taste, usually linen or paper strips coated with sulfur ". The barrels themselves were made by coopers .
