An entry is the targeted archiving of information . The archiving itself takes place in registers , files , card files , databases , books , etc. The file itself is called an entry in the / the / the / ... (e.g. entry in the register of associations) and the information becomes the ... entry (e.g. B. Class register entry). The retrieval / inquiry of entries is the retrieval (database retrieval ) or the inspection ( inspection of files ). The removal of an entry is the deletion (deletion from the commercial register ).

Examples:

  • Personal entries are usually made in a notebook, diary, blog , etc. whereby the person entering records his thoughts and experiences. These entries reflect information from a person.
  • Personal entries in a file (e.g. personal file), card index (e.g. health file), etc. are made by the respective supervisor of the file and provide information about the person or the person.
  • The registration in a public register makes certain legal relationships public.
