Eiras is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Arcos de Valdevez .
There were 272 residents in the community (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Eiras and Mei were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Eiras e Mei . Eiras is the seat of this newly formed community.
