Construction and history
The historic sandstone bridge is 18 meters long and was completed in 1846.
Ten of these railway viaducts were on Hessian territory.
The Eberstadt Viaduct was characterized by the fact that part of the station building stood on it; with stairs entry and exit for travelers.
The old station building no longer exists today.
The old sandstone bridge was placed under monument protection as a typical example of the technology of the 1840s in Darmstadt .
