Eisenfunk was a German band from the black scene in the electronica sector.

history

The band Eisenfunk was founded by Michael Mayer in early 2006 as a solo project. Many tracks represent a fusion of hard techno beats, occasional noise elements and simple melodies. Eisenfunk describe their style as industrial , without having any reference to industrial culture .

At the end of 2006, the first work, "Funkferngesteuert" (radio remote control), was completed and published as a web EP on our own initiative. At the turn of the year 2006/2007 the project was supplemented by Arthur Stauder and Toni Schulz. In 2007 the debut album "Eisenfunk" was released on the Biohazzard Records sub-label of the scene label Danse Macabre by musician and producer Bruno Kramm . In 2008 the EP “300” made it into the German Alternative Charts (DAC) and landed in the top ten.

In 2010 the second album followed, "8 Bit", which was recorded mixed in the press. While the media converter described “8 Bit” as a “ funny album for the little cyber hunger in between ” and wished for “ a little more substance ”, the online magazine The-Spine.de missed innovation and described the music with regard to the target group of cyber as “ Music for fireflies ”. The album also contains the track Pong in various remixes.

The album "Pentafunk", which was released a year later for the band's five-year existence, only achieved average ratings.

After 8 years of band history, the dissolution of the band was announced in 2014. On May 17, 2014, the band's last official concert took place in Ingolstadt.
