Eiszeit is a German documentary from 2004 by Alexander Kleid and Daniela Michel .
action
In December 2003 the government passed the “Agenda2010” reform package. The reforms are the biggest turning point in the welfare state since the establishment of the Federal Republic of Germany. “Ice Age” shows the processes from the perspective of those affected. Six people who for different reasons are on the social fringes are accompanied. Without comment, the film lets those affected talk about the social changes in a city that will soon no longer only be divided into east and west, but also into rich and poor.

Reviews
- Filmbewertungsstelle Wiesbaden 2006: " Produced outside of the established media, this is a piece of counter-public in the best tradition. The protagonists are very informed and eloquent about what it means today to have to live on the lower edge of society. The film four observes vividly and touchingly Fates over six months: a blind couple, an unemployed actress, a man suffering from muscle wasting. They all do not persist in passivity or obscurity, they have something to say to us. "(See FBW )
