Eitel Dietrich von Gemmingen (1513–1568)

Eitel Dietrich von Gemmingen (* 1513 ; † October 10, 1568 ) was the landlord in Steinegg .

Life

He was a son of Dietrich VIII of Gemmingen († 1542) and Katharina von Neuhausen (1481–1563) from the Steinegg line of the barons of Gemmingen . When his father's property was divided in 1547, he got Steinegg, while his brother Dietrich received Tiefenbronn . In 1548 he acquired Dietrich's property on the other side of the Würm . On April 7, 1567 he divided his property in Esslingen among his sons.

His tomb is preserved in the church of St. Maria Magdalena in Tiefenbronn , as is the tomb of his second wife and that of her daughter Helene († 1553) from her first marriage.

family

From 1544 he was married to Ursula von Ehingen († 1549). In 1550 he went into a second marriage with Amalia Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden († 1563), the widow of Hieronymus von Vellberg.
