Eja Siepman van den Berg

Eja Johanna Siepman van den Berg ( Helena Johanna Siepman van den Berg , born December 17, 1943 in Eindhoven ) is a Dutch sculptor .

Life

Eja Siepman van den Berg was born in Eindhoven. Between 1962 and 1967 she studied at the Reichsakademie in Amsterdam and was trained by Paul Grégoire and Piet Esser . She was strongly inspired by Charles Despiau and can be seen as a representative of the group of figurative abstraction ( Groep van de figuratieve abstractie ). The main theme of her work is the human (female) body, which she depicts in bronze and marble.
