El-Harrach ( Arabic الحرّاش al-Harrāsch , DMG al-Ḥarrāš , tamazight ⵍⵃⴻⵔⵔⴰⵛ; until 1962 French Maison-Carrée ) is a district of the Algerian capital Algiers , seven kilometers east of the city. It forms the 18th arrondissement of Algiers. El-Harrach administratively belongs to the district of the same name in the northern Algerian province of Algiers and has almost 80,000 inhabitants.
