Elaine Devry

Elaine Devry (* 10. January 1930 in Compton , California , as Thelma Elaine Mahnken ) is an American actress .

Life

Devry started working as a model at the age of 15 . She married at the age of 18 and divorced after four years. She then moved in with her mother, who worked as an animator at Disney in Hollywood . There she met Mickey Rooney , ten years her senior , whom she married two months after the divorce from her first husband. Rooney gave her her first feature film role in The Atomic Kid in 1954 . In 1959 their second marriage also ended in divorce. In the 1960s she appeared as a guest star in numerous television series, she was also seen in several films; including the horror film Diary of a killer on the side of Vincent Price , the Western projectiles from midnight next to James Stewart and Henry Fonda and the Doris Day - Comedy With Six You Get Eggroll .
